Liquid Ring Pumps
Liquid ring vacuum pumps are often used solely as a vacuum pump due to the utilisation of rotating positive displacement technology.
However, Liquid-ring vacuum pumps can be used as a gas compressor as well. These pumps are robust and built for wet and humid applications allowing for consistent performance to meet the highest demands.
How it works
The liquid-ring vacuum pump uses low friction impellor rotation within the pump case, forming a compression chamber seal with the rotor being the only moving part.
Rotation liquid seals the impellor on the front as well as sealing the blades against one another. Liquid is continually sucked into the compressor chamber to keep the liquid ring stable.
This creates compression chambers between the impellor blades during rotation which, by its variable nature, causes gas to be compressed within a full revolution.
